Logistics Manager Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Logistics Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and optimizing logistics operations, ensuring timely delivery of products to customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Negotiate contracts and rates with carriers, vendors, and service providers to achieve cost-effective logistics solutions.
  • Manage export and import customs clearance, and deliveries to respective warehouses and customers.
  • Optimize transportation routes and modes to minimize costs and maximize efficiency.
  • Oversee local warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping of goods.
  • Arrange transportation services, including freight forwarding, shipping, and logistics partners, to ensure timely delivery of products to customers.
  • Coordinate and schedule shipments, deliveries, and inventory management activities to meet customer demands and organizational objectives.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to assess the performance of logistics operations and identify areas for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with local, national, and international regulations and customs requirements related to transportation, trade, and logistics.
  • Communicate effectively with internal departments, external partners, and stakeholders to ensure alignment and coordination of logistics activities.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in logistics management, preferably in a similar role or industry.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to optimize logistics operations and minimize costs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, carriers, vendors, and customers.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Familiarity with local, national, and international regulations and customs requirements related to transportation, trade, and logistics.
