Job Overview

This role offers a unique opportunity for a skilled network engineer to contribute to the design, development, and implementation of large-scale solutions in production environments.

The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing network changes during appropriate change windows, creating network changes as required by ticketing system per incident, and performing LCM (Lifecycle Management) functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement network changes during designated change windows
  • Create network changes as required by ticketing system per incident
  • Perform Lifecycle Management functions
  • Conduct Vulnerability Management activities
  • Identify proper escalations associated with incidents as they occur
  • Adhere to established change and engineering standards documentation
  • Provide network triage for all network incidents
  • Serve as second-tier support for the network operations team when needed
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems, or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training
  • At least 1 year of experience designing, developing, and implementing large-scale solutions in production environments
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems, or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training
  • Airline Industry experience is desirable
Essential Skills and Certifications
  • Experience working with network tools such as CA Spectrum and Wireshark
  • Knowledge of Velocloud / Viptela SDWAN / Aruba / Meraki/ Nexus /Palo Alto Firewalls/Zscaler equipment
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Azure is an asset
  • Experience in switch upgrades and refresh activity
  • Understanding of public cloud and Azure cloud networking
  • Firewall troubleshooting skill
  • Basic Wi-Fi design understanding and troubleshooting skill
