About the Role

Motorola Solutions is seeking a Sr. SecOps Engineer to join our Unified Communications team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for defining and implementing deployment and monitoring standards for cloud and data center environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, deploy, and manage cybersecurity components to protect our SaaS Infrastructure running in Datacenter, Azure, and AWS.
  • Identify potential security vulnerabilities and deploy security components such as Web Application Firewall, Antivirus, Cloud Workload Protection, and SOAR tools.
  • Maintain security components across multiple datacenter and cloud environments.
  • Review platform operational security configuration, including WAF rules, IDS/IPS settings, NSG settings, and security controls.
  • Stay up-to-date with technology evolution and recommend security technologies.
  • Develop tools for automated security functions verification.
  • Implement automated tools to support inventory, configuration changes, security alerting, and CVE tracking.
  • Support compliance assessments to industry best practices and standards.
  • Collaborate on SIEM Detection rules and Threat Management team during critical incidents.
  • Oversee company security, backup, and redundancy strategies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or similar.
  • US citizen residing on US soil.
  • 3+ years of experience in software development, security engineering, data engineering, SIEM platforms, SecOps, and Linux system administration.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with various work partners.
  • Experience building and deploying on-premise and cloud applications and tools.
  • Solid experience in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting UNIX/Linux environments.
  • Strong familiarity with cloud technologies, primarily Azure and AWS.
  • Strong scripting experience with Shell Scripts, Powershell, and Python.
  • Familiarity with WAF and IDS/IPS components.
  • Hands-on experience with Splunk and Elasticsearch.
  • Familiarity with Red Hat Openshift is preferred.
  • Must be familiar with cloud security best practices and Azure and AWS Security controls.
  • Familiarity with tools used to secure docker/podman deployments such as SentinelOne.
  • Familiarity with CIS benchmarks, including Docker/podman and Linux benchmarks is a plus.
