About the Job

We are seeking an experienced Senior Python Developer Lead to join our team at Snaphunt. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading the development and maintenance of our Python-based software applications.

Responsibilities

  • Leverage your technical expertise to lead the development and implementation of complex Python codebases, ensuring high-quality solutions that meet business requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance and extend existing Python codebases, driving innovation and improvement across the organization.
  • Develop new classes and modules that implement existing interfaces, adhering to coding standards and best practices.
  • Identify and address edge cases and corner scenarios in complex systems, ensuring system reliability and stability.
  • Continuously learn and apply Foundry principles to support efficient testing and validation of Python code.
  • Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to peers and actively seeking feedback for self-improvement.
  • Maintain and enhance system performance and reliability through effective operations support.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10+ years of professional experience in Python development and 6+ years of tech lead experience.
  • Strong proficiency in Python programming, with a focus on enhancing existing code.
  • Experience with build automation tools, particularly pip or poetry.
  • Proficiency in using integrated development environments such as PyCharm, VSCode, or Jupyter.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with a keen ability to handle edge cases and corner scenarios in complex systems.
  • Willingness to learn and apply Foundry concepts for effective testing.
  • Experience with stream processing technologies such as Kafka is a plus.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
