Job Title: Cloud Engineer - AWS Expert

The ideal candidate will have expertise in designing, building, and managing scalable, secure, and highly available AWS-based systems.

Responsibilities include:

  • Implementing IAM policies and configuring VPCs to create a secure network for application workloads.
  • Collaborating with clients to resolve high-priority technical issues and implement new requirements.
  • Working with application developers to deploy and run both monolithic and microservices-based applications on AWS.
  • Analyzing workload requirements and defining proper sizing for cloud workloads on AWS.
  • Building, deploying, and managing production workloads, including applications on EC2 instances, APIs on Lambda Functions, and more.
  • Monitoring system performance and proactively improving the environment for scale and security.

Qualifications:

  • 8 to 12 years of Cloud/DevOps experience implementing enterprise applications.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS, with preference given to AWS Certified candidates.
  • At least 3+ years of experience working as a Cloud Engineer focused on AWS services such as EC2, CloudFront, VPC, CloudWatch, RDS, Systems Manager, Route53, WAF, API Gateway, Elastic Beanstalk, ECS, ECR, Lambda, SQS, SNS, S3 bucket, IAM, etc.
  • Good understanding of EC2 instances, types, and deploying applications to the cloud.
  • Strong understanding of IAM policies, VPC creation, and other security/networking principles.
  • Experience in migrating on-premises workloads to AWS cloud.
  • Comfortable using AWS and other migration tools.
  • Experience in AWS performance, cost, and security optimization.
  • Experience in implementing automated patching and hardening of systems.
  • Involved in P1 tickets and guiding teams as needed.
  • Creating backups and managing disaster recovery.
  • Experience in using infrastructure-as-code automation using scripts and tools like CloudFormation and Terraform.
  • Experience with Docker, Bitbucket, ELK, and deploying applications on AWS.
  • Good understanding of containerization technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, etc.
  • Experience in using and configuring cloud monitoring tools and ITSM ticketing tools.
  • Good exposure to logging and monitoring tools like Dynatrace, Prometheus, Grafana, ELF/EFK.
