Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced DevSecOps Specialist to join our team at Helpshift. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud infrastructure, security, and automation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement secure, fault-tolerant infrastructure on enterprise scale
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement scalable features that meet platform and infrastructure security requirements
  • Work closely with InfoSec teams to ensure organizational best practices are followed
  • Develop practical demonstrations of proposed solutions and present them to the team
  • Integrate newly developed and existing applications into private, public, and hybrid cloud environments
  • Automate deployment pipelines in a scalable, secure, and reliable manner
  • Implement and integrate security in CI/CD pipelines using tools like SonarQube
  • Improve the security posture of our cloud infrastructure and enable engineering teams to improve application security
  • Drive security initiatives across engineering teams at Helpshift
  • Mentor and interview other talented engineers to grow the team
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • 6+ years of experience in a similar role, such as Cloud Engineer, IT Administrator, or Systems Engineer
  • Experience with automation/configuration management tools, such as Jenkins, Terraform, or Ansible
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes (EKS, Kubectl, Helm)
  • Knowledge of source code management tools like Git, Bitbucket, or SVN
  • Understanding of self-healing/immutable microservice-based architectures, cloud platforms, clustering models, and networking technologies
  • Good knowledge of AWS cloud and securing AWS infrastructure
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with minimal supervision
