Healthcare Data Engineer Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Healthcare Data Engineer to support AI/ML initiatives. The role involves designing, developing, testing, and integrating data solutions to prepare large healthcare datasets for analytics and automation.

This position requires expertise in cleaning, rationalizing, normalizing, and integrating claims, member, provider, and clinical data. Collaboration with data scientists, engineers, and AI teams is essential to deliver high-quality, compliant data pipelines.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop data solutions for automated workflows, bots, and AI Agents.
  • Perform data cleaning, including error resolution, inconsistencies, duplicates, and missing values.
  • Conduct data rationalization and normalization to align with healthcare standards and structures.
  • Aggregate and consolidate datasets from multiple systems, including EHRs and third-party vendors.
  • Execute data extraction workflows to generate AI-ready features.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, data governance, and security standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong experience in healthcare data engineering, including claims, EHR, and clinical datasets.
  • Proficiency in data cleaning, normalization, aggregation, and feature extraction.
  • Knowledge of healthcare standards and coding systems, such as ICD-10, CPT, SNOMED, HL7, and FHIR.
  • Proficiency with SQL, Python, and automation frameworks for data workflows.
  • Hands-on experience integrating data from multiple healthcare systems and vendors.
