Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Oracle DBA to lead the administration, optimization, and security of our Oracle database landscape.

The ideal candidate brings a strong background in Oracle database technologies, high availability architecture, and hands-on experience with SAP-Oracle integration or collaboration with SAP Basis teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot multiple Oracle databases.
  • Perform installations, upgrades, patching, and migrations.
  • Optimize database performance using AWR, ASH, OEM, and advanced tuning techniques.
  • Manage high availability and disaster recovery configurations using Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard, and GoldenGate.
  • Implement and test robust backup/recovery strategies using RMAN and/or third-party tools.
  • Automate administrative tasks and reporting using shell scripting, PL/SQL, or Python.
  • Collaborate with SAP Basis team to support SAP systems using Oracle.
Required Skills and Qualifications

Strong hands-on expertise in Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard, and RMAN. Solid understanding of Linux/Unix environments, scripting, and automation.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of experience as an Oracle DBA in large-scale, enterprise-grade environments.
