Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Governance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our data organization, you will be responsible for designing and implementing effective data governance strategies to ensure the integrity and security of our data assets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze the current Power BI tenant environment to identify usage patterns, workspace structure, and licensing.
  • Document inactive or redundant workspaces to optimize governance structures.
  • Define policies for workspace creation, ownership, access, and lifecycle management.
  • Craft customized reports and metrics using FUAM to support monitoring, alerting, and insights.
  • Collaborate with data engineers to integrate telemetry data into Microsoft Fabric, including lakehouses, pipelines, and other technologies.
  • Develop reusable templates and processes for long-term workspace monitoring and governance.
  • Provide technical guidance and training for workspace owners and stakeholders.
  • Deliver comprehensive documentation and handover plans at the end of the engagement.
  • Partner with business units to define and implement reporting requirements.
  • Contribute to international roll-outs and system changes.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in computer science, economics, or a comparable field with certifications in Power BI and Fabric.
  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience with Power BI, including tenant-level administration and monitoring.
  • Expertise in Power BI governance and lifecycle management.
