Job Title: Data Engineer

A challenging and rewarding role awaits an experienced Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize end-to-end data solutions using Microsoft's cutting-edge technology platforms. This talented individual will be responsible for implementing contemporary data architecture patterns, creating robust data pipelines, and delivering insight-driven analytics to support business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and Implement Data Solutions: Utilize ADF, Microsoft Fabric, Synapse, and Databricks to develop scalable and efficient data solutions that meet the needs of clients.
  • Build Data Models: Create data models for scalable data processing, endpoint processing, and integration to ensure seamless data flow.
  • Develop and Optimize Data Pipelines: Design and implement real-time, batch, and BYOD (bring your own device) data pipelines to deliver timely insights to stakeholders.
Data Modeling & Analytics:
  • Create Semantic Models: Develop semantic models in Power BI to provide a unified view of business data.
  • Build Enterprise Dashboards: Design and implement enterprise-level dashboards, paginated reports, and self-service analytics solutions to empower users with data-driven insights.
  • Implement Row-Level Security: Ensure secure access to sensitive data by implementing row-level security measures and complex DAX calculations.
Platform Operations & Governance:
  • Apply DataOps Practices: Implement data operations best practices to monitor and tune data performance, ensuring optimal system efficiency.
  • Ensure Data Security & Quality: Guarantee the integrity and accuracy of data by enforcing robust security and governance protocols.
  • Integrate Predictive Analytics: Leverage Azure ML to integrate predictive analytics capabilities, empowering users to make informed decisions based on data-driven insights.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • 5-7 Years of Experience: Possess a strong background in data engineering, with a minimum of 3 years of experience working with Microsoft technologies.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Fabric & Azure Synapse: Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Fabric and Azure Synapse Analytics, as well as proficiency in Databricks, Power BI, and SQL.
  • Strong Problem-Solving Skills: Showcase excellent problem-solving abilities, with a proven track record of implementing medallion architecture and enterprise BI solutions.
Preferred Certifications:
  • Microsoft Certified: Hold certifications in Azure Data Engineer Associate, Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate, or Power BI Data Analyst Associate.
  • Databricks Certified: Possess the Databricks Certified Data Engineer Associate certification.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree: Hold a bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, engineering, or a related field; a master's degree is preferred.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Exhibit exceptional communication and client-facing skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
