About the Role

The Digital Quality Assurance Specialist will be responsible for overseeing the quality assurance process for our e-commerce web application. This role involves designing and executing test plans, identifying defects, and collaborating with development teams to ensure that our digital products meet the highest standards of quality, performance, and reliability.

Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for web portals and mobile applications based on functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Perform manual testing of web portals and mobile applications, including functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Design and implement automated test scripts using tools like Selenium, Appium, or Cypress to improve testing efficiency and coverage.
  • Identify, document, and track defects using bug tracking tools like JIRA or Bugzilla. Collaborate with development teams to ensure timely resolution of issues.
  • Work closely with developers, product managers, and UX/UI designers to understand requirements, identify potential issues, and ensure quality throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Provide detailed test reports and metrics, including test results, defect status, and quality assessments. Highlight areas of concern and suggest improvements.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of test processes, methodologies, and results. Ensure that test artifacts are accessible.

Qualifications

Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of proven experience in Manual and Automation testing techniques.
  • Experience in ecommerce.
  • An attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with version control systems like Git and bug tracking tools like JIRA.
  • Good understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and mobile platforms (iOS, Android).
  • Hands-on experience in testing multiple form factor websites.
  • Willingness to learn new tools and techniques as required.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders.

Compensation

The estimated annual salary for this position is $90,000 - $110,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
