Reliability Engineer Role Overview

As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of products throughout their lifecycle.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement design changes to improve product performance and reduce maintenance needs.
  • Drive CAPA initiatives to identify and resolve recurring product issues.
  • Train and mentor engineering teams on reliability principles and practices.
  • Support product lifecycle management from post-launch support to end-of-life.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration with R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, and Service teams.
  • Develop and deliver training modules, workshops, and on-the-job guidance.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of reliability activities.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong expertise in reliability engineering and product lifecycle support.
  • Proficient in root cause analysis techniques (5-Why, Fishbone, FMEA).
  • Experience driving CAPA processes and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and standards (ISO 13485, FDA, CE).
  • Understanding of design changes, engineering change requests (ECR/ECO), and change management.
  • Ability to improve product reliability and performance metrics.
  • Excellent documentation, reporting, and technical writing skills.
  • Hands-on experience with the maintenance of multi-industry products, including medical devices, automotive, and electronics.
  • Strong mentoring, coaching, and presentation skills.
  • Analytical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Biomedical Engineering.
  • Experience with PLM software (e.g., Teamcenter, Windchill) and reliability tools (Minitab, ReliaSoft).
  • Prior experience training engineers in a multi-industry setup.
