SAP Basis Job Description

As a skilled SAP Basis professional, you will be responsible for implementing and supporting Data Archival solutions using the Lifecycle Cycle management tool. With 5 years of experience in server administration, you will ensure the smooth operation of Windows file servers, manage authorization, and troubleshoot issues related to authorization and server performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Server Administration: Manage Windows file servers, add/remove authorization, handle annual access audits, and monitor server performance.
  • Divestment: Extract and transfer archived data, create quality documentation on maintenance activities, and collaborate with teams to ensure successful divestment.
  • Software Management: Install and configure Enterprise Scan and WinViewer applications, troubleshoot issues, and ensure software is up-to-date.
  • SAP Data Archiving: Activate/deactivate archive infostructure (AIS), run catchup archiving, and perform sweeper tasks for existing archive objects.
  • Reporting: Attend Agile ceremonies, update work items, and provide status reports to stakeholders.
  • Incident Management: Assess and resolve incidents, create quality documentation, and collaborate with teams to ensure timely resolution.

Requirements/Deliverables:

  • Deliver high-quality incident and problem management solutions within agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Ensure successful and error-free SAP Maintenance activities according to the Upgrade Schedule.
  • Complete all assigned ADO User Stories prioritized by the Product Owner.
  • Deliver high-quality documentation using the team's OneNote related to lessons learned and undocumented problem solutions.
