Job Opportunity

We are seeking an accomplished Senior Test Specialist with expertise in both manual and automation testing.

The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in building scalable automation frameworks, ensuring high-quality product delivery, and mentoring junior team members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks using advanced test tools and BDD (Cucumber/Gherkin).
  • Perform comprehensive testing to ensure product quality across web, API, and integration layers.
  • Write clear feature files with business-oriented scenarios and maintain reusable step definitions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, define acceptance criteria, and ensure thorough test coverage.
  • Implement and maintain a scalable Page Object Model for maintainable automation.
  • Build and extend core framework utilities such as wrappers, waits, retry mechanisms, and driver handling.
  • Ensure clean code practices in test automation frameworks (SOLID principles, OOP concepts).
  • Identify, document, and track defects, providing detailed root cause analysis.
  • Mentor junior test team members and contribute to overall process improvements.
Required Skills & ExpertiseCore Automation Skills
  • Advanced Test Automation: Deep knowledge of test automation tools, custom waits, element handling, synchronization issues, stale elements, and workarounds.
  • BDD (Cucumber/Gherkin): Writing business-readable feature files, mapping steps correctly to ensure reusability and modularity.
  • Programming Language: Strong object-oriented programming concepts (inheritance, abstraction, polymorphism), clean code practices with SOLID principles, exception handling, and custom exception creation.
Framework & Layer-Specific Skills
  • Step Definitions: Designing high-level steps without mixing UI locator logic, ensuring modularity and reusability, Page Object Model: Strong understanding of POM & Page Factory, writing maintainable locators and encapsulating UI interactions, handling dynamic elements and reusable components, Core Framework (Wrappers, Waiters, Driver handling): Building wrapper methods around test APIs, implementing custom waits, retry mechanisms, and driver utilities, extending WebDriver with custom elements where needed.
Additional Skills
  • Hands-on experience with manual testing (functional, regression, smoke, UAT).
  • Experience in API testing using Postman/RestAssured.
  • Strong understanding of test planning, test design, and defect management.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and integration with tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in QA, with at least 2+ years in automation testing.
  • Proven experience in building and maintaining automation frameworks from scratch.
