Senior Java Developer

Job Description:

  • We're seeking a skilled Backend Developer to lead the design and development of secure, scalable payment platforms using Java and Spring Boot.
  • The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cryptographic operations and tokenization systems, with experience integrating cryptographic libraries and secure API integrations.
  • Additionally, they should be familiar with ISO 20022 and other financial messaging standards, as well as have hands-on experience with cloud-native deployment, Docker, and Kubernetes.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and develop secure, scalable microservices for payment platforms.
  2. Integrate cryptographic operations within payment flows and tokenization systems.
  3. Work with EMV kernels, APDU command sets, and card issuance workflows.
  4. Deploy, manage, and monitor services on Azure/AWS using Kubernetes.
  5. Ensure adherence to secure coding practices and compliance standards (e.g., PCI-DSS).

Technical Requirements:

  • Core Development: Java, Spring Boot, Maven, RESTful APIs.
  • Security & Cryptography: Symmetric/Asymmetric encryption, secure coding practices.
  • Cloud Platforms:
    • Azure: VMs, Functions, AKS, RBAC.
    • AWS: EC2, S3, IAM, Lambda.
  • DevOps & Containers: Docker, Kubernetes (AKS/EKS).

Domain Knowledge Required:

  • Deep understanding of card tokenization, EMV standards, and APDU formats.
  • Experience with payment authorization flows across methods (credit, debit, wallets, NFC).
  • Familiarity with ISO 20022 and other financial messaging standards.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • 5-8 years of backend development experience with strong Java & Spring Boot expertise.
  • Proven experience with cryptographic libraries and secure API integrations.
  • Hands-on with cloud-native deployment, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • Strong knowledge of payment system regulations and standards (PCI-DSS, EMV, ISO 20022).
