Senior Big Data Engineer

Description:

  • A seasoned senior data engineer with extensive experience in designing, building, and maintaining large-scale data and analytics platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Designing, building, and maintaining data warehouses in cloud-based solutions such as Amazon Redshift or similar platforms.
  • Developing complex ETL pipelines using Apache Spark (Scala or Python) for event-based big data processing.
  • Cultivating strong hands-on expertise in SQL and modern scripting languages including Python.
  • Working with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, Cassandra or DynamoDB.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrated experience with cloud platforms like AWS in building data engineering solutions for analytics and science applications.
  • Experience in building and managing complex data pipelines – batch and/or real-time event-based processing.
  • Strong knowledge of data engineering principles and best practices.
