Interior Design Lead

This role is central to driving design excellence, balancing creativity with discipline and precision.

The Interior Design Lead will oversee the end-to-end interior design process for luxury projects, collaborating closely with top-tier consultants and cross-functional teams.

The ideal candidate must demonstrate:

  • No compromise on quality, aesthetics, and functionality at any stage of design or execution.
  • Exceptional liaison skills with external design firms and leadership over a team of internal design managers.
  • Seamless collaboration with Sales, Architecture, Construction, and Finishing teams.
  • Regular site supervision to guarantee flawless finishes and snag-free delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Design Leadership & Oversight
    1. Lead the design development process with external consultants and internal managers.
    2. Ensure all design deliverables align with luxury brand standards.
    3. Uphold the principle of zero compromise on design quality and aesthetic refinement.
  2. Consultant & Team Management
    1. Manage relationships with world-class interior design consultants, ensuring pace, accountability, and quality.
    2. Build and mentor a strong internal team of design managers, providing structured guidance and review.
    3. Delegate effectively while maintaining personal oversight on critical design checkpoints.
  3. Cross-Functional Collaboration
    1. Work with Sales to translate client aspirations into feasible design solutions.
    2. Partner with Architectural, Construction, and Finishing teams to ensure on-ground execution matches design intent.
    3. Resolve conflicts between aesthetics, timelines, and costs while protecting design integrity.
  4. Site Supervision & Execution Excellence
    1. Maintain an active presence on sites to oversee finishing and detailing.
    2. Conduct meticulous snagging and quality checks to ensure flawless delivery.
    3. Uphold luxury standards of precision, with no tolerance for compromise on finish or function.
  5. Commercial Awareness & Value Engineering
    1. Balance creativity with commercial sensibility—optimizing designs for cost without diluting the luxury experience.
    2. Review BOQs, indents, and vendor submissions to ensure accuracy, feasibility, and design alignment.
  6. Innovation & Future-Readiness
    1. Bring global best practices and innovative materials into projects.
    2. Explore digital tools for visualization, moodboarding, etc.
    3. Reimagine processes to enhance efficiency while maintaining design purity.
