We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator to join our team. Key responsibilities include installation, configuration, and maintenance of MSSQL Server cluster and standalone servers, as well as establishing weekly maintenance plans such as integrity checks, rebuilding indexes, and updates. Additionally, the successful candidate will have experience in setting up, trouble-shooting, and maintaining SQL Server AlwaysOn Availability Groups, SQL Server Logins, and authentication modes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Experience in installation, configuration, and maintenance of MSSQL Server cluster and standalone servers
- Establishing weekly maintenance plans such as integrity checks, rebuilding indexes, and updates
- Experience in setting up, trouble-shooting, and maintaining SQL Server AlwaysOn Availability Groups
- Experience in creating SQL Server Logins, assigning roles to users, and authentication modes
- Developing successful backup strategies based on recovery models
- Monitoring SQL server performance using profiler to find performance bottlenecks
- Managing and monitoring jobs, error logs, server space, health of databases, and servers
- Setup high availability database infrastructure using logshipping and mirroring
- Making data available to all resources using transactional replication
- Ensuring data consistency in the database through DBCC commands
Requirements:
- Experience in database administration and management
- Knowledge of MSSQL Server and its configuration
- Ability to communicate with peers and customers
- Proficiency in root cause analysis and problem-solving
