The role of an Applications Engineer - AI Subject Matter Expert is crucial in driving the strategic implementation and governance of Artificial Intelligence tools.
This position plays a pivotal part in ensuring that our AI initiatives are executed with precision, security, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities- Configure and manage data privacy controls to prevent sensitive data from being trained on AI models.
- Deliver comprehensive audit logs and compliance reporting for OpenAI usage.
- Implement robust guardrails and moderation tools to enhance AI application security and reliability.
- Track model performance and usage metrics, producing regular reports for leadership.
- Optimize prompt engineering and evaluate trade-offs between different AI tools.
- Troubleshoot technical issues related to API calls, latency, and integration failures.
- Maintain internal admin guides and knowledge bases for developers and end users.
- Deliver training sessions for IT staff to expand their expertise in managing AI tools.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 5-8 years of experience in AI applications engineering or a related role.
- Demonstrated proficiency in AI tools such as Google Gemini, OpenAI, and Anthropic.
- Strong understanding of data privacy controls and compliance requirements.
- Experience configuring and managing AI tool environments securely and effectively.
