Job Title: CAD Technician for MEP Services

Seeking a skilled CAD technician to support the design and delivery of Mechanical, Electrical, and Public Health (MEP) services by preparing accurate 2D and 3D CAD drawings and models. The successful candidate will work closely with engineers, designers, and project teams to ensure coordinated, detailed, and compliant documentation that supports efficient project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare Detailed Drawings: Create detailed 2D drawings and 3D models of mechanical, electrical, and public health systems in AutoCAD and/or Revit (BIM).
  • Collaborate with Engineers: Work closely with MEP Engineers and Designers to translate design concepts into coordinated drawings.
  • Ensure Compliance: Ensure drawings comply with project requirements, building regulations, industry standards, and company CAD/BIM protocols.
  • Assist in Drawing Development: Assist in the development of coordinated services drawings, clash detection, and model updates.
  • Maintain Drawing Registers: Maintain drawing registers, file management systems, and revision control.
  • Support Project Teams: Support project teams in producing tender, construction, and as-built drawings.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD: Proficiency in AutoCAD (essential) and Revit MEP/BIM (preferred).
  • Experience in MEP Drawings: Experience in preparing MEP drawings and understanding of building services design.
  • Familiarity with Industry Standards: Familiarity with British Standards, Building Regulations, and industry codes of practice.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Communication Skills: Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Workload Management: Ability to manage workload, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.
Desirable Skills:
  • Navisworks Experience: Experience with Navisworks, clash detection, or other BIM coordination tools.
