Job Title: Technical Project Specialist

Job Description

This role involves working as part of a team to deliver projects. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of a senior or project engineer to carry out various functions.

The key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring compliance with document control and QA processes for project work, including drawing, specifications, reports, and correspondence.
  • Assisting in compiling design specifications within given deadlines, checking compliance with project brief through calculation and cross-referencing of manufacturers' literature.
  • Organizing and conducting detailed designs to WSP and Building Regulations standards, ensuring CDM, QA, and technical review and sign-off by the project leader.
  • Undertaking technical calculations to industry standards in conjunction with team members, supervising team members' work to ensure delegated tasks are completed to deadlines and standards.
  • Preparing elemental work for project budget costing as delegated by the senior team member, within agreed deadlines and standards.
  • Managing day-to-day queries from Line Manager and the WSP USA Team, ensuring relevant information is available on time for construction activity.

  • M.Tech (Civil - Structures) or equivalent qualification.

  • Working knowledge of US codes of practice and US projects.
  • Expertise in ETABS, RAM Concept, RAM Structural System, and SAFE software.
  • Understanding of seismic design of structures and wood design.
