Editorial Assistant Position

We are seeking an Editorial Assistant to join our team in managing content for Management Practice Insights (MPI). The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of editorial style and be proficient in proofreading, line-editing, and enhancing written content.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Developing engaging content by designing and laying out individual articles, including placement of text, associated graphics, blurbs, and other callouts.
  • Selecting suitable visual metaphors and graphics to accompany article text.
  • Proofing and line editing approved articles for publication.
  • Providing developmental and copy editing support for early drafts of articles.
  • Conducting research to gather relevant examples and citations to support article content.
  • Collaborating with publishers, contributors, and designers to ensure smooth production and timely delivery.
  • Distributing MPI content through various online and print channels.
  • Performing other assigned tasks as directed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in liberal arts, economics, business, media studies, or communications.
  • 2-5 years of experience in media in a content development or production role.
  • Familiarity with proofing tools, content management systems, and online publishing formats.
  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
