About the Role

We are seeking a Biomedical Equipment Specialist to manage medical device turnaround at our facility. The position involves device disinfection, electronics checks, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Disinfect and clean medical devices according to standard operating procedures.
  • Inspect devices for functional issues after patient use.
  • Replace components and consumable parts as needed.
  • Conduct routine quality control checks and maintain calibration logs.

Troubleshooting & Basic Repairs:

  • Diagnose electronic issues in control units and perform minor repairs.
  • Coordinate with research and development teams for advanced repairs or escalations.
  • Perform software and firmware updates as required.

Device Deployment Support:

  • Retrieve and install devices at hospitals and home-care centers when necessary.
  • Deploy new devices and rental equipment as per requirement.
  • Provide basic training on device usage to nursing staff and caregivers during deployment.

Documentation & Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate service logs, device usage hours, complaints, and interventions.
  • Prepare monthly reports for operations and product teams.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in servicing medical equipment.
  • Hands-on skills in basic electronics troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.
  • Familiarity with hospital infection control practices is desirable.
