Job Title: Test Manager

Overview:

The role of a Test Manager is crucial in ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutions. This involves leading and managing the end-to-end testing strategy, planning, and execution for projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing testing teams, defining test strategies, overseeing execution, and ensuring compliance with project timelines, budgets, and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive testing strategies to ensure flawless system functionality.
  • Lead cross-functional testing teams across various phases including System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), Regression Testing, and Performance Testing.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure thorough test coverage.
  • Review and approve test plans, test cases, and scenarios to validate business needs and system design.
  • Maintain effective defect management, root cause analysis, and closure within agreed timelines.
  • Provide regular test progress updates, highlighting risks, issues, and mitigation plans.
  • Ensure adherence to Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Quality Assurance (QA) processes, compliance standards, and best practices throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Oversee integration testing with third-party systems, APIs, microservices, and batch processes.
  • Support banking operations teams during mock runs, business simulation, and production cutover testing.
  • Mentor and guide the testing team to enhance capabilities and optimize resource utilization.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science or related field with 12+ years of experience in IT Testing, including at least 6–8 years in core banking testing projects.
  • Proven experience leading large-scale testing programs in Oracle FLEXCUBE (FCUBS versions 11.x – 14.x).
  • Hands-on expertise in test strategy development, effort estimation, resource planning, and test execution.
  • In-depth knowledge of banking operations and modules such as Core Banking, Payments, Loans, Trade Finance, and General Ledger.
  • Expertise in Oracle PL/SQL, APIs, REST APIs, microservices, and batch processing for seamless integration testing.
  • Familiarity with automation tools (Selenium, Postman, JMeter, or similar) for functional and performance testing.
  • Experience in digital core transformation projects is an added advantage.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and team management skills with proven ability to deliver within tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and reporting skills.
