We are seeking an experienced Database Professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing and maintaining large-scale databases, with a strong focus on performance tuning, security, and high availability.

Job Description

As a Database Administrator, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of databases to meet business requirements. This includes:

  • Installation, upgradation, and migration of SQL Servers.
  • Applying patches or service packs for SQL Server.
  • Configuring high availability/disaster recovery solutions.
  • Configuring automated alerts to send mail to the team if there are any issues.
  • Working on incidents, change tickets, and problem tickets.
  • Setting up maintenance plans for backups, database integrity check, rebuild index, update statistics, and making sure to run all the jobs without any issues.
  • Troubleshooting locking issues, including deadlocks, blocking, lock timeouts, and fixing them.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • Hands-on experience in on Always on and DB Mirroring.
  • Experience in scripting using perl, power shell.
  • Experience in AWS/Azure.
  • SQL Server certifications.
  • SQL Cloud based solutions and experience.
