Job Summary

The Dean of a Law School at our esteemed university is a senior academic administrator who oversees the academic and administrative operations of the school. This strategic leader works closely with faculty, staff, and students to ensure the quality and success of the school's programs and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a vision of excellence and national leadership for the Law School, monitoring progress toward short, medium, and long-term goals.
  • Collaborate with the Vice Chancellor to strategize and achieve the long-term vision and goals of the school, implementing the Strategic Plan in accordance with the university's plan.
  • Identify market uncertainties related to the school's programs and recommend investment decisions for each program (existing/new).
  • Recommend the value proposition of each program based on competition mapping.
  • Promote the university's vision and mission to all stakeholders within and outside the school.
Academic & Operational Focus
  • Drive top-line growth and ensure the school's financial success.
  • Build and promote the reputation of the school, both internally and externally.
  • Cultivate stakeholder aspirations, considering the needs and goals of students, faculty, staff, and alumni.
  • Improve faculty and student satisfaction with their experience at the school.
  • Manage programs effectively, spending 60% of time running academic operations and 40% on external engagement.
  • Ensure the school meets national and international accreditation requirements in a timely manner.
  • Establish a network of Small and Medium Enterprises and social developmental agencies to support the school's goals.
  • Lead knowledge creation and dissemination through academic and applied research, as well as events and activities for scholars, students, and faculty.
  • Foster collaboration with other university departments to ensure effective functioning within the larger ecosystem.
Requirements
  • Ph.D. from top-ranked institutions (IITs/IIMS/ISB/top 50-NIRF ranked institutions/high QS ranked global University).
  • Minimum 3 years of academic administrative experience, including Professor cadre qualification.
  • A successful track record of increasing leadership and responsibility at a reputed University/Institute.
  • Demonstrated academic and research excellence at a national/international level through Research/Publication/Innovation/Patent.
  • Demonstrated financial acumen and capability to run independent P&L.

We offer a competitive salary range of ₹2,500,000 - ₹4,500,000 per annum, commensurate with experience, to attract and retain exceptional talent.
