We are seeking a highly skilled actuary to join our team in the field of Property and Casualty insurance.

Actuarial RoleJob Summary:
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong background in actuarial science, with experience in analyzing and estimating reserves for P&C insurance products.
  • They will be responsible for applying various reserving methods and techniques to estimate liabilities, such as loss development, loss ratio, and loss triangle analyses.
  • Additionally, they will analyze data and perform actuarial calculations to assess risks and determine appropriate reserve levels.
  • Staying up-to-date with industry trends and regulatory changes related to reserving, including Solvency II or IFRS 17 requirements, is also essential.
  • The selected candidate will prepare and present actuarial findings and recommendations to management and other stakeholders.
  • Collaboration with underwriting and finance departments to ensure reserve estimates align with business goals and financial reporting requirements is also required.
  • Developing and enhancing reserving tools, models, and processes to improve accuracy and efficiency is a key responsibility.
  • Supporting the preparation of financial reports, including reserve-related disclosures, is also necessary.
Requirements:
  • A Bachelor's/Master's degree in engineering, economics, mathematics, actuarial sciences, statistics is required.
  • Affiliation to IAI or IFOA, with at least 8-9 CT actuarial exams, is preferred.
  • At least 5yrs+ Actuarial experience in the P&C insurance industry is essential.
  • Strong reserving experience or good knowledge of reserving methods and techniques is necessary.
  • Advanced skills in Excel, VBA, SAS, and other relevant tools for data analysis and modeling are required.
