CBG:Geography Head

At Axis Bank, we are seeking a seasoned Geography Head to lead our Commercial Banking business in the region. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving business growth and expanding our customer base.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in credit/sales functions, with a strong track record of leadership and people management. You will be expected to develop and implement strategies to drive business growth, improve customer satisfaction, and increase revenue.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with key customers to identify new business opportunities and expand existing relationships.
• Work closely with the sales team to identify and pursue new business leads, and to develop and implement sales strategies to achieve business objectives.
• Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to inform business decisions and drive growth.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including product and marketing teams, to ensure alignment and effective execution of business plans.
• Maintain accurate records and reports to track business performance, customer interactions, and sales pipeline.

Requirements

• Graduate/Post Graduate degree with at least 5 years of experience in credit/sales functions, preferably in a leadership role.
• Strong understanding of commercial banking products and services, with a focus on asset and liability management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers, colleagues, and partners.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on achieving business objectives and delivering results.
• Proven track record of leadership, with experience in managing teams and developing talent.
