Component Engineering Leadership Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Component Engineer to lead the lifecycle management, quality, and compliance of electronic and electromechanical components used in smart meter hardware. This role demands proactive vendor management, strong knowledge of component qualification processes, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

The ideal candidate will have over 3 years of experience in comprehensive testing and approval of components for smart meter designs. They will assist R&D in selecting innovative components and maintain a robust component database with lifecycle status.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with IEC, BIS, and relevant smart metering standards
  • Validate alternate components to reduce supply risk and optimize cost
  • Develop automated test setups to test various hardware devices
  • Maintain supplier relationships and ensure business continuity

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering and at least 5-10 years of experience in component engineering or related fields. Experience in smart meter manufacturing or allied electronic manufacturing industries is highly advantageous.
