The Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior SQL Developer to join our team in Gurgaon, India. As a Senior SQL Developer, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and optimize database solutions, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Database Development: Design, develop, and maintain complex database systems using MS-SQL Server, ensuring optimal performance, data integrity, and security.
  • ETL Processes: Develop and manage ETL processes to facilitate seamless data integration, data cleansing, and data migration across different platforms.
  • Database Design & Modeling: Perform database design, data modeling, and schema development to support new business requirements and improve existing database structures.
  • Performance Optimization: Analyze and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database structures to improve performance and reduce response times.
  • Data Analysis: Leverage analytical skills to troubleshoot data-related issues, conduct root cause analysis, and provide actionable insights to enhance business operations.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with software developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver tailored database solutions.
  • Automation & Controls: Identify process inefficiencies and deploy technology solutions to automate back-office controls and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of database structures, processes, and performance metrics to ensure transparency and consistency in data management.

Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in database development, database design, and data modeling, with a focus on MS-SQL Server.
  • Technical Expertise: Proficient in writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, views, and triggers.
  • ETL Tools: Strong experience with ETL tools such as SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services), Informatica, or Talend.
  • Database Performance: Expertise in database performance tuning, query optimization, and indexing strategies.
  • Data Warehousing: Knowledge of data warehousing concepts, OLAP (Online Analytical Processing), and OLTP (Online Transaction Processing).
  • Version Control: Experience with version control systems such as Git, SVN, or similar for database scripts.
  • Database Security: Familiarity with database backup, recovery, and security best practices.
  • Cloud Platforms: Experience with Azure SQL Database, SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), and SQL Profiler for monitoring and troubleshooting.
