Machine Vision Engineer Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Machine Vision Engineer to join our team.

About the Role:

  • The primary responsibility of this role is to design, develop, and implement machine vision systems that can accurately detect and analyze various objects in different environments.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for prototyping with laser line profilers, displacement sensors, ultrasonic probes, and cameras.
  • He/She will also support with hardware selection, designing mounts and enclosures that survive heat, vibration, and factory grit.
  • Additionally, the Machine Vision Engineer will be responsible for supporting integration with DAQ tools, PLCs, and basic OpenCV scripts.
  • He/She will also help with pilot deployments across customer sites in India and troubleshoot issues quickly when they arise.

What We're Looking For:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in sensors, automation, or machine vision.
  • Knowledge of laser triangulation, ultrasonic NDT, or machine vision systems.
  • Ability to design practical mechanical setups (mounts, fixtures, enclosures).
  • Comfortable with Python/OpenCV/DAQ basics and PLC connections.
  • Willingness to get hands dirty in high-heat/industrial environments.
  • Based in India, with flexibility to travel for deployments.
  • Availability of at least 20 hours per week (flexible schedule).
