Research and Development Lead

In this pivotal role, you will spearhead innovation efforts in collaboration with marketing and technical teams to drive growth based on customer feedback and market demand.

Your expertise in formulation and application knowledge in construction chemicals will play a crucial role in developing sustainable and cost-effective formulations.

  • Develop and implement cutting-edge concrete admixtures, waterproofing systems, repair mortars & grouts, industrial floorings & coatings, and surface treatments and sealants.
  • Pilot plant trials and assist production teams during scale-up and commercialization.
  • Collaborate with raw material suppliers for technical discussions, product validation, and alternate sourcing.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks relevant to product performance and safety.
  • Supervise lab activities, QA/QC testing protocols, and product benchmarking.
  • Mentor and manage a team of scientists and lab technicians, promoting a culture of research, safety, and continuous improvement.

Key Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with chemical testing instruments (e.g., rheometers, viscometers, FTIR, SEM, etc.).
  • Deep understanding of performance standards and industry trends.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to manage multiple R&D projects simultaneously.
  • Strong documentation, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Experience in patent writing or product IP management is beneficial.
