About the Role

This is a strategic leadership position focused on driving technical excellence and innovation within our cybersecurity platform. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the engineering team, overseeing the development of secure software products, and establishing best practices in coding, testing, and architecture.

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in system architecture, microservices, and cloud-native design, with experience delivering SaaS products and building scalable data models. They will also possess excellent communication skills and be able to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversight of the engineering roadmap, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
  • Building and scaling a high-performing engineering team, hiring and mentoring talent, and fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
  • Driving the design, development, and delivery of secure software products, leveraging industry-leading technologies and tools.
  • Establishing and maintaining best practices in coding, testing, CI/CD, observability, and architecture, ensuring seamless integration and scalability.
  • Collaboration with founders, product, and design teams to translate business needs into technical execution, ensuring alignment and effective communication.
  • Technical decision-making on architecture, tools, and platform design, ensuring alignment with company strategy and vision.
  • Development and tracking of engineering KPIs for velocity, quality, and reliability, ensuring measurable improvements and continuous growth.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 8 years of professional software engineering experience, with at least 4+ years hands-on development and 2-3 years in engineering management.
  • Proven ability to hire, mentor, and grow engineering talent, with experience delivering SaaS products and building scalable data models.
  • Strong foundation in system architecture, microservices, and cloud-native design, with proficiency in PostgreSQL, Redis, and scalable data modeling.
  • Experience with REST APIs, GraphQL, AWS, Kubernetes, and container orchestration platforms, as well as monitoring & logging tools like Prometheus, ELK, and CloudWatch.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams, with a focus on collaboration, innovation, and customer satisfaction.
