Job Title: Insurance Contracts Specialist - Senior/Chief ManagerLocation: MumbaiAbout the RoleMain Responsibilities:- Oversee and review all agreements/contracts entered into by the Company: assess legal implications, draft, review, and negotiate contracts/agreements/documents to ensure they align with the organization's interests.
- Responsible for reviewing and vetting insurance intermediary agreements, ensuring adherence to outsourcing regulations and other regulatory guidelines.
- Fool-proof drafting and vetting of standard legal agreements such as NDAs, Addendums, insurance intermediary agreements, IT agreements, etc., in line with Company guidelines.
- Verify and clear property titles of all branch locations, new site acquisitions, etc., and provide support to the Admin team.
- Ensure preparation, review, and vetting of Leave & License/Lease agreements for the company branches and locations, guiding the team in agreement closures.
- Review and draft documentation for business transactions and prepare an advisory checklist to ensure timely information submission.
- Oversee and ensure timely legal procedural support related to notaries, stamp papers, leases, etc., within the organization.
- Digital contract management system maintenance, responsible for maintaining documentation repositories, monitoring updates, acquiring, and safeguarding Intellectual Property Rights for the organization's products and services.
- Conduct regulatory legal research and present papers.
- Work on Contract Management System/Tool for maintaining legal contracts of the Company and extracting reports.
- Provide legal advice and guidance on various matters, ensuring proactive, practical, qualitative, and cost-effective legal support to different business functions.
- Work on legal advisory, regulatory updates, legal dashboards, and articles for increasing legal awareness within the organization.
- Assist in implementing Regulatory Compliance framework for the organization while identifying and ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations.
- Deal with external law firms and consultants, assisting the internal/external team on Legal and Corporate matters.
To excel in this position, you should possess:
- LLB/Law Degree or equivalent qualification.
- Strong experience in contracts management (3-5 years).
- Proven track record of resolving complex issues related to contracts.
- PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 3-5 years in the insurance sector.
- Skills and Abilities: Legal experience in General Laws, Corporate Laws, Data Security, and Privacy Laws; Communication skills; Presentation skills.
