Job Title: Senior Content Editor

We are seeking a dynamic and passionate professional to join our team in Chennai. The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in education, student affairs, and youth trends.

The senior content editor will be responsible for curating, editing, and producing compelling content for print and digital platforms. This includes collaborating with senior management on content strategy, team performance, and editorial planning.

The key responsibilities include:

  • Curtailing engaging content focused on education, careers, innovations, student initiatives, and campus life.
  • Contributing fresh story ideas and supporting field reporting when necessary.
  • Coordinating with designers and digital teams to ensure timely and quality content delivery.
  • Leading and mentoring a team of writers and interns, ensuring quality and consistency across all content.
  • Working closely with the editorial team to plan and structure content for print and web editions.

The ideal candidate should possess:

  • A Master's degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, or a related field.
  • 8 – 12 years of experience in journalism, preferably with a focus on education, youth, or career-related content.
  • Strong editing, writing, and storytelling skills with impeccable grammar.
  • Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple assignments.
  • Familiarity with digital publishing tools and social media platforms is an added advantage.
  • A keen interest in the education system and youth affairs.

Prior experience in education journalism or content creation for student-centric platforms, as well as exposure to multimedia content creation (video/audio/newsletters), will be a plus.
