Job Title:

Data Architect

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced data architect to design, develop and implement scalable data systems that support real-time and batch data processing.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, high-quality data architectures that power analytics, insights and data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop and maintain robust data pipelines and ETL workflows
  • Build and manage scalable data architectures and cloud-based infrastructure
  • Ensure data accuracy, completeness, consistency and governance
  • Collaborate with analytics and engineering teams to understand data needs
  • Optimize performance of data systems, queries and storage solutions
  • Implement data quality monitoring and alerting systems
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for data workflows and schemas
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in data architecture and cloud technologies

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a data engineer or in a similar data infrastructure role
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java or Scala
  • Proficient in SQL and experienced with relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Cassandra) databases
  • Experience with data processing frameworks like Apache Spark, Hadoop, Kafka or Flink
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform or Azure
  • Familiarity with modern data warehousing tools (e.g. Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery)
  • Experience with orchestration tools like Airflow, Luigi or Prefect
  • Understanding of data security, privacy and compliance practices (e.g. GDPR, HIPAA)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
