Cloud Native API Platform Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Native API Platform Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing, deploying, and managing cloud-native infrastructure, with a focus on API Gateway technology.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and deploy cloud-native infrastructure for scalable API platforms.
  • Implement and manage API Gateway solutions using cutting-edge technologies like Kubernetes and Terraform.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate API platforms with cloud services and microservices.
  • Develop automation scripts to streamline deployment, monitoring, and operational tasks.
  • Perform capacity planning, health monitoring, and troubleshooting for runtime and infrastructure issues.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Strong expertise in cloud-native infrastructure design and deployment.
  • Proficient in Kubernetes, Docker, and containerization.
  • Familiarity with Terraform and cloud provider APIs (AWS, GCP, Azure).
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI) and version control systems (Git).
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

APIGEE Expertise:

  • Hands-on experience with APIGEE Hybrid platform deployment and runtime management.
  • Knowledge of APIGEE X and API management concepts (OAuth, JWT, API keys, SSL/TLS).
  • Understanding of API proxy development, debugging, and policy implementation.

Kubernetes & Containerization:

  • Extensive experience managing Kubernetes clusters (GKE, AKS, or on-prem).
  • Proficient in deploying and managing containerized applications using Helm charts.

Scripting & Automation:

  • Strong skills in Bash/Shell scripting and Python for automation and operational tasks.
  • Experience developing automation pipelines for deployment and monitoring.
