Geological Specialist

Job Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a geological specialist. The ideal candidate will have expertise in collecting, analyzing and interpreting geological data.

Key Responsibilities:

• Gather and analyze geological data from various sources including samples and specimens.
• Prepare comprehensive reports detailing the findings and gain approvals from clients with proper justifications.
• Study sites for developments, formations hazards and composition, focusing on rock study and blasting patterns.
• Inspect construction projects to identify engineering problems and apply geological knowledge using test equipment and drilling machinery.
• Plan and conduct geological field studies & surveys, sample collection, drilling & testing programs to collect data for research and/or application.
• Investigate rocks through collection, examination, measurement and classification of soils, minerals, rocks etc.
• Survey sites and create logs, cracks reports and maps using GIS technology.
• Communicate findings by writing research papers and maintain geology documents.
