Job Overview

ZOUMA CREATIVE STUDIO PVT LTD is seeking an experienced Accounting Expert to join its financial operations team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of Indian taxation laws, including GST, TDS, and Income Tax.

Responsibilities
  • Financial Management:
    • Maintain accurate financial records, including ledgers, trial balance, and balance sheets.
    • Prepare and review journal entries to ensure proper recording of transactions.
    • Ensure adherence to Indian accounting principles and standards (Ind AS/GAAP).
  • Tax Compliance:
    • Prepare and file Goods and Services Tax (GST) returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9, etc.).
    • Liaise with tax consultants to manage tax-related matters, including Income Tax and GST.
    • Ensure compliance with Indian tax regulations and timely filings of returns.
    • Handle audits, assessments, and provide necessary documentation for tax authorities.
  • Financial Reporting:
    • Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management.
    • Prepare financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) and management reports on financial performance.
    • Conduct variance analysis and provide actionable insights to improve business performance.
  • Compliance and Statutory Requirements:
    • Ensure compliance with Indian statutory requirements, including TDS, GST, and Income Tax regulations.
    • Maintain statutory registers and ensure timely submission of filings and returns.
    • Coordinate with external auditors during audits and assist in preparing audit schedules.
  • Accounts Payable and Receivable:
    • Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure accurate and timely payments.
    • Manage invoicing, track payments, and follow up on overdue balances.
    • Reconcile outstanding balances with customers and vendors to ensure consistency.
  • Banking and Cash Management:
    • Manage daily banking operations, including reconciliations of bank statements and cash flows.
    • Ensure proper authorization and documentation for all payments and receipts.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting:
    • Assist in preparing the company's annual budget and periodic financial forecasts.
    • Monitor actual performance against budget and suggest corrective actions where necessary.
  • Record Keeping and Documentation:
    • Maintain systematic and secure filing of financial documents, including invoices, receipts, and tax-related documents.
    • Ensure all records are accurate, complete, and available for review or audit at all times.
Requirements
  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B), Accounting, or Finance.
    • Professional qualifications like CA (Inter), CMA (Inter), or ACCA are preferred.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 2-5 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on Indian taxation (GST, Income Tax, TDS).
    • Experience with accounting software (Tally, QuickBooks, SAP, etc.) is essential.
  • Skills and Competencies:
    • Solid understanding of Indian accounting principles and tax regulations.
    • Proficiency in MS Excel and other MS Office applications.
    • Strong attention to detail, with an ability to identify discrepancies and resolve issues efficiently.
    • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.

Salary Range

The estimated salary range for this position is ₹800,000 - ₹1,200,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
