Senior Java Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Java Developer to join our team in Chennai and Mumbai. As a key member of our development team, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining robust and scalable enterprise applications using Java and related technologies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and implement complex Java applications according to functional specifications and system requirements.
  • Analyze and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented Java code adhering to coding standards and best practices.
  • Utilize core Java concepts like OOP, collections, and concurrency effectively.
  • Develop robust and efficient applications leveraging J2EE technologies (EJB, JDBC).
  • Experience with Java Swing for desktop application development is a plus.
  • Utilize XML for data exchange and configuration management.
  • Implement automated testing strategies using JUnit.
  • Work with ORM frameworks like Hibernate to manage database interactions.
  • Apply core Java and J2EE design patterns to enhance code reusability and maintainability.
  • Have hands-on experience with application servers like Tomcat and WebLogic.
  • Write efficient SQL queries and perform performance tuning for Oracle 10g databases.
  • Leverage development tools like Eclipse IDE, StarTeam for configuration management, and Quality Center for testing.
  • Familiarity with build tools like Ant or Maven is desirable.
  • Participate in code reviews and collaborate with team members to ensure code quality and consistency.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in Java technologies and best practices.
Requirements:
  • 5-6 years of experience as a Java Developer or a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles and design patterns.
  • Proficiency in core Java and J2EE technologies.
  • Experience with XML, Quartz scheduler, and JUnit testing framework.
  • Knowledge of Hibernate ORM is a plus.
  • Familiarity with application servers like Tomcat and WebLogic.
  • Expertise in SQL development and performance tuning for Oracle 10g databases.
  • Proficient in using development tools like Eclipse IDE, StarTeam, and Quality Center.
  • Experience with build tools like Ant or Maven is a plus.
