About the Role

As a skilled Solar Designer, you will join our team to develop accurate 2D and 3D rooftop solar designs in SketchUp. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in creating solar rooftop designs, with the ability to model solar panels, mounting structures, and rooftop obstacles accurately.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop precise 2D and 3D rooftop solar designs in SketchUp.
  • Create detailed sketchup models (solar panels, mounting structures, rooftop elements, obstacles) with accurate dimensions.
  • Use technical knowledge and design skills to ensure efficient, practical, and aesthetically aligned solar solutions.
  • Make informed design decisions considering factors such as cleaning and maintenance access, safety, and feasibility.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in SketchUp solar design (rooftop PV projects preferred).
  • Strong understanding of rooftop solar project requirements, shading considerations, and structural layouts.
  • Ability to interpret technical inputs into workable models.
  • Familiarity with solar mounting structures and ability to apply them within designs.
  • Attention to detail for accurate modeling and measurements.
  • Good visualization skills to create professional design presentations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Sketchup and Skalion.
  • Knowledge of solar engineering basics.
