Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Financial Controller to join our team. As a key member of the finance team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the financial strategy of the organization through accounting, budgeting, financial forecasting, and analysis.

  • You will be responsible for managing the preparation and presentation of accurate and timely financial statements and other accounting records in accordance with relevant accounting standards, rules, and regulations.

  • Support the identification, assessment, and mitigation of financial risks and report on these risks to senior colleagues.

  • Develop and maintain a robust system of internal controls to safeguard assets, ensure the accuracy of financial data, and identify any weaknesses or gaps in internal controls.

  • Manage the selection, implementation, and maintenance of financial systems and software applications, including collaboration with IT colleagues to integrate financial systems with other enterprise systems.

  • Prepare and submit statutory and regulatory reports to authorities and provide support to other departments in their preparation and review of regulatory reports.

  • Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory authorities in support of audits and examinations.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Basic Requirements:

  • Qualified Accountant (CA, CMA, ACCA)

  • Strong academic background with a 1st class honors degree from a reputable institution

Desirable Skills:

  • Good stakeholder engagement skills and understanding of executing their requirements and expectations

  • Understanding of key accounting principles under IFRS

  • Strong interpersonal skills and excellent communication
