Head of Technology Infrastructure Management

This role is responsible for overseeing mission-critical technology infrastructure operations on a 24/7 basis. The successful candidate will manage on-premises data centers, cloud infrastructure, virtualization platforms, hyper-converged infrastructure, LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, SDN, SD-WAN, databases, clustering, call center infrastructure, backups, and storage.

The Head of Technology Infrastructure Management will be part of the CTO leadership team and will be expected to positively impact the overall delivery of information technology services as part of the technology team's mission for the bank. Some key responsibilities include:

  1. Providing leadership in running mission-critical operations and ensuring stable infrastructure services.
  2. Leading, mentoring, and motivating a team of professionals who manage and support operations.
  3. Introducing innovative infrastructure and operations capabilities that enhance overall competitive capabilities and employee productivity.
  4. Involving in major incidents, root cause analysis, preventive actions for service uptime, and driving the adoption of continuous improvement.
  5. Ensuring timely renewals of services, proactive risk identification, and timely risk closures.
  6. Accountable for driving key projects affecting infrastructure and operations in line with ultimate goals, cost, and time.
  7. Optimizing operational costs and finding ways to reduce them.
  8. Developing RFPs/RFIs, overseeing product evaluations, and playing a decision-making role in product and service selections.
  9. Clean audits, supporting and meeting information security, audit, and compliance requirements.
  10. Operating a formal governance mechanism, including operations, audit, compliance, and regulatory obligations, to establish and monitor effective controls.
  11. Building successful stakeholder relationships with IT senior leadership, business stakeholders, and vendors.
  12. Establishing and maintaining strong strategic partnerships with vendors and service suppliers.
  13. Developing and executing strategies to improve awareness of the business value provided by the infrastructure and operations function.

Pre-requisites & Core Competencies

  1. Relevant experience of at least - years in infrastructure and operations, preferably in banking and BFSI industry.
  2. Minimum - years of relevant experience in designing, operating complex technology networks, including implementation of networks, with deep knowledge in technology infrastructure, HCI technologies (Nutanix), Active Directory, Networking (LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, SD-WAN, latest trends, products, technologies), Routing, Switching (Cisco, Juniper, HP, Arista), MPLS, QoS, VOIP, Load Balancers, Network Monitoring Tools, Private and Public Cloud, and Network Security (Palo Alto, FortiGate).
  3. Theoretical and practical knowledge of regulations applicable in banking industry, ability to convert requirements into practical design, and demonstrated ability to apply technology solutions to business problems.
  4. Knowledge in related IT disciplines such as data processing, hardware platforms, enterprise software applications, database administration, outsourced systems, and outsourced operations.
  5. Exceptional leadership, influencing, and negotiation skills, with ability to develop and communicate vision that inspires staff and aligns with IT and business strategy.
  6. Persuasive communication style, capable of communicating complex topics to wide variety of audiences, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and presentation skills.
  7. Flexibility to adapt to rapidly changing conditions and priorities, and to redirect teams toward new objectives.
  8. Strong financial management skills in budgeting, forecasting, and cost control, defining engagement scope, and defining basic terms and conditions for partner engagement.
  9. Understanding of interdependent relationship between infrastructure, information security, and application/services.
  10. Demonstrated ability to apply technology solutions to business problems.
  11. Deep knowledge of applicable laws and regulations for banking industry.

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, electronics, engineering, or diploma (+2+3)
