Job Title: Backend Software Development Engineer III

 

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled SDE 3 Backend Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of experience in building high-performance back-end applications with Node.js and MongoDB.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing system architecture, reviewing peer code, and working on complex data migrations, modernizing legacy applications, and building new applications on the cloud for large enterprises and/or growth stage startups.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Designing and developing high-performance back-end applications using Node.js and MongoDB.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Reviewing and improving existing codebase to ensure quality and reliability.
  • Developing and maintaining clear documentation for technical stakeholders.
  • Staying up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience in building high-performance back-end applications with Node.js and MongoDB.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with Express.js framework and Nest.js framework.
  • Implementation experience in monolithic and microservices architecture.
  • Hands-on experience with data modeling, schema design, aggregation pipelines, replication on MongoDB and/or other relational databases.
  • Experience integrating with 3rd party services such as cloud SDKs, payments, push notifications, authentication etc…
  • Hands-on experience with Redis, Kafka, or Rabbit MQ or any other messaging.
  • Exposure into unit testing with frameworks such as Mocha, Chai, Jest or others.
  • Experience working with common services in any of the major cloud providers - AWS or GCP or Azure.
  • Strong experience writing and maintaining clear documentation.

Good to Have Skills:

  • Technical certifications in AWS / Azure / GCP / MongoDB or other relevant technologies.
