Policy Research Opportunity

We invite applications for a Senior Policy Analyst position to be based in Bhopal. The role will involve close collaboration with state government institutions to support policy research, data analysis, and economic strategy development.

About the Role

The successful candidate will play a key role in providing research-backed policy inputs to inform Madhya Pradesh's development agenda. Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting applied research on economic growth, statistics, and public policy issues.
  • Analyzing large datasets and applying econometric/statistical techniques for policy insights.
  • Drafting policy briefs, reports, and presentations for decision-makers.
  • Engaging with government officials, industry leaders, and academic stakeholders.
  • Contributing to roundtables, workshops, and consultations on policy challenges.
  • Supporting project design, proposal development, research project management, and internal capability building.
Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Master's, MPhil, or PhD in Economics, Statistics, or related fields from a reputable institution.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in policy research, data analysis, consulting, or academia.
  • Strong proficiency in data analysis and econometrics (Stata/R/Python).
  • Demonstrated ability to design and independently manage research projects.
  • Excellent writing, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Adherence to research timelines and deliverables in a fast-paced policy environment.
