Databricks Data Engineering Practice Lead

We are seeking a visionary and dynamic Databricks Data Engineering Practice Lead to drive innovation and growth in our data engineering practice. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for building and growing our Databricks practice, delivering cutting-edge data solutions, and driving impactful customer engagements.
About the Role- Lead & Grow: Develop and expand our Databricks practice, crafting methodologies, best practices, and service offerings tailored to client needs.
- Deliver Excellence: Oversee multiple customer projects, providing technical leadership and ensuring high-quality delivery of Databricks-based solutions.
- Architect Solutions: Design complex data processing, analytics, and machine learning solutions using Databricks, Delta Lake, Apache Spark, and MLflow.
- Collaborate Strategically: Partner with sales teams to develop proposals, scope projects, and articulate the value of Databricks solutions.
- Mentor Teams: Guide and upskill data engineers, building a strong technical team with deep expertise in Databricks technologies.
- Drive Innovation: Stay at the forefront of Databricks advancements, participating in partner programs and leveraging resources to enhance capabilities.
- Train & Educate: Create internal training programs to ensure teams are proficient in Databricks technologies and best practices.
- Foster Collaboration: Work with other practice leads to identify cross-practice opportunities and deliver integrated solutions.
- Experience: 10+ years in data engineering, with 3-5 years of hands-on experience in Databricks.
- Technical Skills:
- Expertise in Databricks, Delta Lake, and Apache Spark.
- Proficiency in Python, Scala, and SQL.
- Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their integration with Databricks.
- Familiarity with data lakehouse architectures, ETL/ELT processes, and data modeling techniques.
- Leadership Abilities: Proven track record of managing complex customer engagements and leading teams.
- Certifications: Databricks certifications (e.g., Certified Associate or Professional) are highly desirable.
- Additional Knowledge:
- Familiarity with machine learning workflows and MLOps practices using MLflow.
- Understanding of data governance, security, and compliance requirements.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and their application in data engineering projects.
- Communication: Exceptional ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
The estimated salary for this role is $160,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
