Job Description

  • NICE Actimize is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Actimize MS Team, focusing on leading and managing complex customer-facing projects and programs to ensure high-quality and timely delivery of products and services.
  • Responsible for the commercial success of engagements, ensuring revenue and margins are maintained throughout delivery, and identifying opportunities for Extension Services and Value-Added Services.
  • This role demands effective communication with internal stakeholders and senior-level customers across programs, working closely with customers to manage expectations and ensure projects are completed within budget and time scales.
  • Must be highly organized, proactive, articulate, and commercially aware, with excellent stakeholder management skills to build long-term relationships and develop revenue streams.
  • Energetic, committed, and enthusiastic, with the ability to prioritize and take ownership of complex situations, manage them to a successful conclusion, and support others to excel in their performance.

You'll team up with talented architects, SMEs, and developers, using the latest Actimize technology to work on innovative projects. You'll help define the roadmap for the group, ensuring that work complements the deployment and use of complex SaaS solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Determine technical feasibility by evaluating requirements and proposed solutions.
  • Prepare and install solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming.
  • Enhance existing solutions to match client requirements by configuring and customizing software using Actimize software, SQL, Java, and other technologies.
  • Test and approve software solutions, configurations, and customizations.
  • Provide information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing development and service issues.
  • Utilize software engineering tools such as configuration management systems, build processes, and debuggers in the software development process.
  • Collaborate and add value through participation in peer code reviews, providing comments and suggestions.
  • Provide reliable solutions to a variety of problems using sound problem-solving techniques.
  • Serve as a mentor to less experienced software engineers.
  • Estimate level of effort, evaluate new options of similar technology, offer suggestions to improve processes, and provide comments on some design aspects.
  • Apply a sense of urgency, commitment, and focus on the right priorities in developing technical solutions in a timely fashion.
  • Review product and/or application information including manuals and brochures for technical accuracy.
  • Documents and demonstrates solutions by developing documentation, diagrams, clear code, and comments.

Required Skills:

  • 2 to 4 years' experience with a Software Company.
  • Prog. Language: SQL, Java, JS, API (Application Programming Interface).
  • Web Technologies: HTML, CSS (Cloud Storage Service), XML, XSL, Servlets, Web Services.
  • Databases: MS SQL and/or Oracle. Cassandra is a plus.
  • Operating systems: Windows and Linux.
  • Application Servers and Servlet Containers: WebSphere, Tomcat, WebLogic etc.
  • Prior Actimize solution experience is a big plus.
  • AWS/Azure and Container experience is a plus.
  • Tableau knowledge is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Pro-active and Team Oriented approach.
  • BS degree in Computer Science or related field.

Bonus point:

  • Prior Actimize / Banking knowledge or experience.
  • Development experience in Java or Database expertise (Oracle / MSSQL knowledge of DB (Data Base) Tuning).
  • Background in scripting language (Python, Shell script, PowerShell etc.).
