Lead Electrical Engineer Role Overview

This is a senior leadership position that leads the electrical engineering team in designing and developing production facilities and process skids for various clients across different sectors.

  • As Lead Electrical Engineer, you will oversee the design and development of electrical systems, ensuring compliance with industry codes and standards.
  • You will interact effectively with direct reports, clients, vendors, and stakeholders to achieve project goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Leadership:
  • Review technical documents, prepare queries, and clarify scope with clients.
  • Carry out FEED verification activities, sizing calculations, and equipment adequacy assessments.
  • Issue requisitions, review vendor offers, and prepare scope split matrices.
Project Execution:
  • Liaise with projects, planning, and engineering teams on project schedules and target completion dates.
  • Assign and distribute manpower for engineering activities within budgeted project man-hours.
Team Management:
  • Monitor engineering performance, quality, and provide feedback for improvement.
  • Participate in client meetings, provide technical input, and execute guidance.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
  • 10+ years of industry experience, planning, scheduling, conducting, and coordinating detailed phases of engineering work.
Expertise:
  • Experience in executing proposals, FEED, and detail engineering of oil & gas projects.
  • Knowledge of industry processes such as MEG, TEG, PWT, SWT, Desalters, Power units, Dehydrators, Gas and Solids treatments, Process Electric Heaters, and control panels.
