Building a Scalable Tech Stack

We are seeking an experienced Tech Lead to build the tech stack for our Last Mile 2.0 project.

About the Role:
  • Own and build core systems from scratch (backend, APIs, orchestration engines, infra).
  • Shape architecture decisions that will define our system for years to come.
  • Migrate fast from pilot to scale (500 riders → 50,000 riders).
  • Work across the stack: backend (Go, Python, Node), infra (AWS, Terraform, Redis, OSRM), and app integrations (React Native, APIs).

This role requires strong experience building and shipping backend systems, with a focus on distributed systems, microservices, and API design. Familiarity with AWS, DevOps, and geospatial systems is also desirable.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Design and implement scalable backend systems using Go and Python.
  2. Develop robust APIs and integrate them with frontend applications.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to shape architectural decisions.
  4. Maintain and improve existing infrastructure using Terraform and AWS services.

What We're Looking For:
  • 5–8 years of experience building and shipping backend systems (Go and Python strongly preferred).
  • Strong grasp of distributed systems, microservices, and API design.
  • Experience with AWS stack: EC2, RDS/Postgres, Redis, networking basics (VPC, NAT, IGW).
  • Comfort with DevOps (Terraform, GitHub Actions, Docker, ECS).
  • Bonus: Geospatial systems (H3, OSRM, Redis Geo), real-time platforms, or ML inference integration.
