Quality Engineer (JavaScript, Typescript, Cypress)

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Expert Quality Assurance Engineer to join our Engineering team. In this pivotal role, you will ensure the delivery of top-notch features while advancing modern agile practices and technical architectures.

About the Role

We're looking for a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer with 6+ years of experience in software testing, covering both manual and automated testing. Your hands-on experience with tools such as Cypress, Playwright, Jest, Cucumber, and react-testing-library is crucial.

Key Responsibilities

  • Testing Leadership: Take ownership of the design, execution, and optimization of testing strategies and frameworks.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with Product Owners and developers to define acceptance criteria and design test scenarios.
  • Automation: Develop, maintain, and integrate automated test capabilities into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Code Reviews: Participate in code reviews for production and test code to ensure coverage of critical cases.
  • Monitoring: Oversee test runs, monitor application errors, and track performance metrics using tools like Kibana and Grafana.
  • Continuous Testing: Implement testing practices in production environments using BOTs and virtual users.
  • Cross-Functional Influence: Promote best practices across the QA Center of Practice and mentor team members to adopt a quality-first mindset.
  • Continuous Improvement: Lead the team in implementing innovative testing solutions, driving efficiency and enhancing the customer experience.

Requirements

Must-Have Skills:

  • Experience: 6+ years in software testing, covering both manual and automated testing.
  • Automation Expertise: Hands-on experience with tools such as Cypress, Playwright, Jest, Cucumber, and react-testing-library.
  • Comprehensive Testing Knowledge: Proficiency across multiple testing levels (unit, load, endurance, cross-platform) and integration with CI/CD processes.
  • Programming Skills: Strong coding skills in TypeScript, JavaScript.
  • API Testing: Knowledge of REST protocol, Postman, and microservice architecture concepts.
  • CI/CD and Monitoring Tools: Proficiency in tools such as Jenkins, TeamCity, Kibana, and Grafana.
  • Database Expertise: Experience querying relational and non-relational databases.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent English communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Experience working in AWS environments.
  • Knowledge of advanced software testing theories and methodologies.
  • Experience with continuous testing in production environments.
